India’s logistics and intralogistics market is expanding rapidly, driven by e‑commerce, food, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals, all of which need modern, efficient storage and distribution. The cold chain is one of the fastest‑growing segments and is part of a broader shift toward powerful, scalable, and energy‑efficient warehouse technology.
Against this backdrop, a Rinac leadership delegation including Managing Director PV Balasubramanian, Joint Managing Director Parakkel Sukumaran, and Senior Vice President and Business Head Kalyan Venugopal met the strategic management teams of Gonvarri Industries and Gonvarri Material Handling in Madrid. On the Gonvarri side, the meetings included CEO Josu Calvo, senior strategy leaders such as Tomás López‑Quiles Lamamié de Clairac and Chief Strategy Officer Nestor Lacarra, as well as Gonvarri Material Handling CEO Sergio Rodríguez Cuesta and Automation Division CTO Brian Howson.
The discussions focused on understanding different customer segments, aligning on specific project requirements, and jointly evaluating growth opportunities in the Indian market. Both teams concentrated on how to translate market needs into concrete, scalable solutions for customers across sectors.
The partnership builds on the strengths of both companies. Rinac contributes deep expertise in cold storage construction, modular buildings, and hygienically sensitive environments. Gonvarri Material Handling adds its established storage technologies, including the MOVO mobile racking system, proven in demanding temperature conditions and a wide range of applications.
These discussions helped align ongoing projects and future plans while sharpening the focus on integrated solutions that bring together building envelopes, racking systems, and material flow planning. The goal is to deliver practical, high‑impact solutions that increase capacity, reliability, and customer value in India’s growing logistics and cold chain market.
