Job Description
Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, the position of Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting in all areas of Gonvarri Material Handling’s marketing strategy, from generation of ideas through to their development and implementation. The role will provide administrative support to the team and will include anything from assisting with market research, logging job forms, organising distribution of literature or helping to organise an event. The role is based in Swindon but will involve regular communication with our regional Marketing Teams across Europe. Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Marketing Team
- Logging, processing and assigning job submission sheets
- Liaising with the regional Marketing Teams
- Chasing content for the Central Marketing Team
- Co-ordinating translations and copy writing (external suppliers used)
- Supporting with event activity including agendas, printing literature, coordinating travel, preparing appointments, taking minutes at meetings
- Research support where required
- Act as the primary administrator for our Social Media channels, ensuring content co-ordination, regular content updates and scheduling
- Assist with the management and maintenance of website content
- Literature & merchandise audits, flagging when stock is low and arranging the distribution of literature and merchandise
- General admin (e.g. taking meeting notes, fielding phone calls, preparing for meetings, sending and responding to emails)
Role Requirements
- Education level: Secondary school or equivalent
- Qualification in Marketing (e.g. A-level, degree) would be an advantage
- Administrative experience is essential
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with confident use of Word and Excel & PowerPoint
- Understanding of all social media platforms: Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
Experience working within a Marketing environment is desirable
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator would be an advantage
- Some exposure to CMS would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Strong administration skills
- Must be computer literate and have experience using Microsoft Office
- Good organisational and planning skills
- Good attention to detail
- Must be a well organised and committed individual
- Be self-motivated as well as able to take direction and get work done
- Able to work within a team and individually
